EXHIBITS

By: Terue Yamauchi

The exhibit works engage directly with the conference themes of “borderless ocean” and “living heritage associated with coasts and seas.” By combining visual materials with ethnographic and theoretical reflections, the program aims to create a multilayered dialogue about how art, memory, and lived experience intersect in coastal communities.

The exhibition format—envisioned as a looped video and slideshow installation—seeks to evoke the rhythms and textures of life at sea, offering an immersive context for considering the persistence and evolution of maritime cultural heritage.
